The class of 2020 had missed many senior experiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We decided to lift their spirits in a collaborative effort.
At 7:30am on April 28, 2020 the RVF and high school principal Jessica Torok surprised our high school seniors with signs letting them know we miss them. To the class of 2020, we know how you must be feeling and we hope this surprise brightened your day!
At a rally yesterday, NYSUT President @MelindaJPerson spoke on the crucial work that needs to be done to help ensure New York's most vulnerable are taken care of. Earlier this year, we joined a large coalition of stakeholders to confront the root causes of childhood poverty.
💔 Brookhaven’s nurses, techs, & staff make healing possible, but they’re being stretched too thin. We demand @LICommHospital ensure safe staffing & a fair contract—investing in them means investing in our community’s well-being.
This is literally what you call stealing from the poor to give to the rich.
You don't build an economy that works for working people by giving tax breaks to those at the top.
